Template — have counsel review before launch

Sierra Safe Solutions, LLC collects a small amount of personal information through this site, uses it to respond to enquiries and deliver training, and does not sell it.

Information we collect

  • Identifiers — name, email address, company name, and phone number where you choose to give it.
  • Professional information — job role and employer, where supplied in a form.
  • Commercial information — course enrolments, event registrations, waiting list entries, and the preferences you select in those forms.
  • Site usage — standard server and analytics data such as pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, browser and device type.

We collect this directly from you when you submit a form, and automatically through ordinary web analytics. We do not collect payment card details; those go directly to our payment processor.

How we use it

  • To answer enquiries and schedule consultations.
  • To register you for training, issue certificates, and contact you about the session you registered for.
  • To notify you when a course date is scheduled, if you joined a waiting list.
  • To meet our record-keeping obligations under training and certification programs.
  • To improve the site and understand which material is useful.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers acting on our behalf, under contract, for the purposes above. These may include our payment processor, email and customer relationship tools, learning and event registration platforms, website hosting, and analytics. We may also disclose information where required by law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept while a commercial relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Training and certification records are kept for as long as the relevant program requires. Waiting list entries are removed on request or when the list closes.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected, used, and disclosed.
  • Request a copy of that information.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion, subject to exceptions where we must retain records.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share, so there is nothing to opt out of.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the statute.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Residents of other states with comparable privacy laws have similar rights and may use the same contact route.

How to exercise your rights

Email info@sierrasafe.org with the request. We will verify your identity using the information we already hold and respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires. You may use an authorised agent, in which case we will ask for proof of authorisation.
